During your visit take part in the walking festival of Kirriemuir in late May/early June or the Blairgowrie festival in late September/early October.

The upper reaches of these glens all lie within the Cairngorm National Park. This is the UK’s largest national park and you will notice the boundary stones at the roadside as you drive into the glens. 

There are also a number of trails and paths on more low-level grounds over foothills, through woods and forests or following the main rivers – the Isla, the Prosen and the South Esk. For inspiration take a look at the suggested walks here
